About ClinicalWriterAI

Bridging the gap between everyday observations and professional medical documentation.

Why this tool exists

Healthcare professionals spend a significant part of every shift writing documentation. The observations are made in seconds — describing them in proper clinical language, in the right structure, takes far longer. ClinicalWriterAI was created so that busy nurses, PSWs, and other care providers can capture what they observed in their own words, in their own language, and receive professional documentation in return — without sacrificing quality for time.

What it does

You write or dictate an observation the way you would tell a colleague: "patient was short of breath after walking to the bathroom, sat her down, gave O2, felt better after 10 minutes." The tool rewrites it as structured professional documentation — in SOAP, DAR, SBAR, or general medical style — with correct terminology and standard abbreviations. Input can be in any language; output comes back in the language you choose.

Built for real clinical workflows

Voice dictation with spoken punctuation lets you document hands-free. Provincial medical standards adapt terminology to your region. Custom templates let you reproduce your workplace's exact formats — a triage assessment, a fall report, a shift handover. And your personal history keeps every rewrite one click away.

A professional's assistant, not a replacement

The AI is instructed to preserve every fact you provide and never to invent findings, vital signs, or events. What it produces is a well-written draft. The clinical judgment — deciding what to observe, what matters, and what goes in the chart — always remains yours. Review every output before it enters a patient record, and keep patient identifiers out of the tool.

Technology and privacy

ClinicalWriterAI is independently operated and self-hosted on Canadian infrastructure. The rewriting itself is powered by Anthropic's Claude, one of the most capable AI language models available. Your account and history live in a private database, protected and visible only to you. Read the full Privacy Policy for details.
